Aval Nanachathu

I am still feeling sick !!! Now I truly understand why good health is such a wealth. Sigh.. I wake up feeling groggy, start feeling better by afternoon and then by night starts feeling sick again !!! This has been going on for days...And I am stuck in the house , not able to enjoy the good weather also... Sigh...

In the afternoons when I start feeling better, I try to make something new. but today I didnt feel like doing that either... Then by 4 'O' clock in the evening, I started craving for quick snack that doesnt require me to stand in the kitchen for long... Since I was watching a Malayalam movie, I felt like making some Keralite delicacy as a tea time snack. I decided to make "Aval Nanachathu" Or "Rice Flakes (Poha) Sweetened with Jaggery and Coconut". This is a very easy recipe, hardly takes 10 min to make and used to be one of my favorite tea time snacks... I think I last made it in 2010!!! So took out the poha, softened it by adding milk, grated jaggery, added coconut and mixed everything together and for flavor, added elaichi or cardamom.. Done... A great tea time snack is ready!! Hope you guys enjoy it too :)
