Today I am posting the recipe of Dates Banana Almond Milk Shake. Do you know that consuming one date a day is necessary in a balanced and healthy diet... I didnt like dates much in my childhood. But recently I brought a packet of medjool dates and loved them. Aboslutely sweet and very plump.. Loved them so much that I made sweet chutney for the Chaats with them (Recipe coming soon). It came out so well that I started thinking about how else I can use them other than having them as snacks. Then I found that we can make milkshakes with dates. Decided to try it out and have as my break fast smoothie today. It was so filling and yum!! Here goes the recipe...
Dates Banana Almond Milk Shake:
Prepping Time: 10 min
Cooking Time: 5 min
Total Time: 15 min
Ingredients:
3 to 4 dates
1 cup Almond Milk
1/2 Banana
Prepping:
Step 1:
Wash the dates thoroughly and deseed them.
Step 2:
Boil Almond Milk in a pan.
Step 3:
Once the almond milk is boiled, add dates to them and let it cook for 2 min. Switch off.
Step 4:
Let the milk cool.
Method of Preparing:
Step 1:
Once the milk is cooled, blend the dates-almond milk mixture and chopped banana pieces into a smooth shake.
Serve immediately.
Note:
- You can use normal milk also for making the shake.
- I used Medjool dates which were very sweet and didnt feel the need to add any sweetners. but you can add honey or sugar as per your taste.
